Well, we were filed on 7/1
      Have our case number now.
And waiting for the 341, which isn't until 8/20.

Hopefully next paycheck, I will be able to swing the costs for the post filing credit class.
I know, it doesn't cost that much, but things are super tight right now as I try to put away the $500 to strip the lien.
      7/01/10 - filed!
      11/20/10 - discharged and closed

        Great =)

I thought the post-filing is only required within 45 days of your 341? Not sure..

          Yeah, I have some time.
But I want to get it done as soon as I can, so it is out of the way.
I've come this far, I am not letting something simple and easly like the post filing classes throw a wrench in the works now.

So far, since we paid the lawyer, it's been easy sailing.

341 came and went without a hitch.
                  Nothing to it.
Spent more time driving to the court house than we were actually in it.

Wrote all about it in this thread.

Just got out discharge papers in the mail today!

So, the big stuff is done and out of the way now.
Just have the closing to put behind us, whenever that happens.
I think this week is the deadline for responses for the lien strip our lawyer filed
                      (judgement lien on the house)

As far as life after filing . . .
Going great. Got a little bit of money in the bank now.
Bills are paid in full, on time.
And even managed the $500 to fix, and re-roof the 1-story section of our house.
Only took my buddy and me 3 days to do the 700 suare feet.

Got other home repair projects in the pipeline as well.
The wife and are just having fun planning and working on small things here and there.
My wife is already planning her xmas decorations. Which is a huge turn-around for her. As she hasn't even wanted to decorate at all the past few years.

Feels great after being in limbo the past 3.5 years.
For years, we just existed here. Not knowing if we would be able to keep the house, if or when we would be able to file and put all the crap behind us.

Right now, I feel like I hit the lottery and have this great future ahead of us now.
Going to go get me a paper shredder, and have some fun cleaning out about 30 pounds of papers I've been accumulating for the past 4 years.
                      7/01/10 - filed!

                                Thanks for the congrats.
I owe a lot to this forum. It gave me the info I needed to plan things, and helped me keep my sanity. Even though we were stuck in limbo, having the knowledge, and knowing how things worked kept me from ever losing hope.

Hoepfully my tale will give others hope that they too can work their way through anything thrown at them, and come through the other side.
