    If you reach a point where you can't afford the $79x2, you could use the school (since you're there several times a week already?) and your wife could keep the yoga membership (since she would have 30 miles to travel each way).

    Its always good to have options, right?

    Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
    (In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)

      oh yeah (slapping myself on the forehead). She could be the one with the 79 expense (if its even allowed, I dont know).

      I am not really worried about being able to afford anything in the future but about allowable expenses on the sched j form. The future: i cant even contemplate that right now. just get me through the next couple days.

        Good luck. I'm starting this journey too (working on my paperwork, going over it with our attorney on Monday, and filing in about four weeks, or however long it takes to fix mistakes, put in computer, etc.).

        It can be very nerve wracking. I totally get the "one day at a time" idea. Some days I feel it's successful if I simply keep the family fed and clean and clothed, me and the child safe and entertained throughout the day (she's two), and keep the house up enough that the health department wouldn't object. It's a lot of stress, for sure.
