Just checked pacer and I'm done!!!!!!

I have been frantically checking pacer throughout this whole ordeal. My 60 days was up on December 19th. There had been no changes made in it until today.....discharged and case closed. Thank you Lord! I made it a lot more difficult on myself than it really was. Good luck to you all........

Congrats, case closed is the very best news! Discharged, in my case did not mean closed, closed is closed, great news!

      great to hear! whoo hooo!

people say that after its done, but there is a lot to worry about and deal with. imagine what would happen if something went wrong. its very easy to have happen. or if a creditor challanged your discharge, or us trustee had a problem with your income and expenses, etc. there is a lot at stake so its easy to worry.

      glad you are done!

yeah, I can't say that my mind is still totally at ease, even now. I still have uneasy feelings about the whole thing, but I geuss I'm in the clear now. I just know how my luck has been in the past and I usually expect the worst. I hope that it is all over and done with.

well, not exactly done - done.

but you are done. and its good enough. trust me. you dont want to be stressed for 1 year longer. if somehow the trustee finds out you lied then they can open the case again. or if a relative passes and leaves you lots of money then they can take it, etc. but none of that is going to happen so dont worry.

im sending you the tickets to the BBQ! whoo hooo!

Actually, over is over even if you hit the Lotto, according to my Attorney, that is. However fraud is different, they can reopen. Otherwise, DONE IS DONE. For me they looked for fraud because I had the side business. After scrutinizing everything, in retrospect the Trustee was right to do it, the Attorney's saw that there were no cash withdrawals of any significance save one, for which i had documentation. We had to go through an emotional nightmare and thank God for my good job and my wife's part time nice job and for a good woman we made it out intact. I mean it was pure hell, it still has me somewhat scrambled. I never want to pass this road again. Nor do i ever want to see such a debt load in my life, $54,000.00.

unless the lotto ticker was bought prior to the filing, and maybe even after that but before the discharge. but whats the chances lol.

Yeah, I still have a few more hurdles to overcome. I will surrender a vehicle that was paid up until this month. I don't feel real great about it, but I can't afford to keep it. We kept our house, with no problems thus far. I have heard nothing from them of a reaffirmation agreement. I have never been late or missed a payment on the loan. My lawyer said that as long as I continued to stay current, they would not have a problem with it because I owe more than it would be worth. I am torn about the vehicle and not sure how to handle it. I am thinking of dropping it off at the bank with the payment book and a copy of my discharge. I do not want them to have to come and get it. Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the advice and shoulders to lean on.....
