Every year I have a garage sale and sell on eBay to get rid of my kids' clothes from last year and whatever toys they don't play with anymore. Is it o.k. to still do this prior to discharge? I wouldn't be selling anything "big" - literally just the kids' old things.

2 months before I came to the conclusion that Ch.7 was my only option I sold roughly $2500 worth of electronics and coins. I made a complete list of the items sold and prices they sold for and provided it to my attorney during our initial meetings. He was ok with it being it was to a 3rd party non-family. The $2500 was listed on the bk filing as items sold in the past 12 months. From my attorney's perspective, it wasn't a deal breaker because it was via Ebay / Craigslist.

My atty said it was fine to sell stuff on ebay, etc as long as nothing was over about $400. That meant that no one item was over $400.Comment
