Tax Refund and BK Trustee

I know this question is probably largely dependant upon the trustee in question, but I figured I would ask anyway.

Once you send your tax refund to your trustee, how long should you expect before you receive your portion?

My trustee requested that we send him our tax refund check, unendorsed. He would then take his cut (about 2/3) and send us the balance. However, we sent in the check about 3-4 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back.

Would it be prudent to contact the trustee and check as to the status? Or might that irritate him? We could sure use the money as we are in the middle of a move and I am out of work. But by the same token, I don't want to irritate the people with power.

What should we do?

We are in the same boat. The TT intercepted our tax refund from the IRS, and had it sent directly to her. We were told to send it in to her, but whatever, that is neither here nor there. The last day for creditors to file claims was 3-3-10 and our attorney told us it will probably be about 30 days from that before our case was closed so I don't know if that means that we will get our portion before that or after. If we even get anything. I am not complaining if we don't I am just wanting this closed. The TT requested 2 missing paystubs, that apparently she didn't realize were missing until this point, but I am hoping this is the last thing she needs. It wouldn't hurt to ask your attorney when you can be expecting your portion.
