Free cash you have after you stop paying CC's

    Hey folks,
I am new to this forum and new to realizing my family is in trouble. I recently stopped trying to make money in my field and decided on going back to school. Last month My wife and I decided we are going to file for chapter 7, So we collectivly (Spelling is horrible) decided to stop paying the 4 cards we owe on. And all I can say is WOW, I fogot what it was like to have cash on hand. I mean we were making $700 a month of payments to those cards. Amusingly enough 3 of those cards are thru CitiCards for some 30K in debt.

Im hoping our case will be fairly painless. We will be filing in july, Because as of july it will be officially more than a year since we have used our cards on anything. And after reading it seems time is our friend. We hope to be dismissing some $40K in debt, Of course after the late fees and default rates go up this will probably be more like $60k in debt.

The question I have is this, When the calls come in, should we say anything about us filing BR, or just hang up. To be honest this is the first time I have ever been behind on anything. I hope this isn't a stupid question.

On anynote this forum has been great and we appreciate all the knowledge and experiences you folks have shared with us thus far.
