I guess it varies by district/trustee, I was told the same thing, keep only $100 in the account before I filed. My attorney and I agreed to file on Thursday (the day before my payroll gets direct deposited), but somehow my petition got filed on payday! I was worried, but my Trustee didn't say anything about the amounts in the petition and the actual amount in the account.
