    Found our attorney

Had another consult and this one went great. There was no question we are a CH 7 case, and the attorney gave us the reassurance we needed in regard to our S corp business. We can exempt the equity in our home (not much) and use the rest to exempt our shares of the S corp. And, since it is a service business only, with no inventory, the shares wouldn't be worth anything to a trustee anyway. He has 20+ years of experience and knows the trustees well...has no problem calling them up and saying "WTH?!" if they are questioning something they shouldn't be. And his fee is only $300 more than the last attorney, who did not instill confidence in us. Total will be $2200, and that includes the credit counseling course and the filing fee. He gave us the thick packet of info/inventory to fill out...so now that fun begins.
But a deep sigh of relief for us, for the first time in a long time! We are due to get our tax refund soon and will be retaining him then.
