Discharged, Citifinancial stills wants me to pay

    ARe they actively trying to collect? Calling and/or sending a bill? Or did you just call them about how they're reporting on your credit report? If you called them, I tend to think the person who answers the phone has nothing to do with how they report. Speak to a supervisor, or just dispute it thru the credit reporting agencies.

    Being discharged for 4 days is not really long enough for the creditor to have updated since most only update once per month. Some update to $0 balance as soon as you file, others wait since not all bankruptcy filings lead to a discharge.
    Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
    (In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)

      I would say them telling the OP to "pay us or we won't report a zero balance" as being an attempt to collect a discharged debt. I would also HOPE that a District Judge of the US Bankruptcy Court would agree.
