Is there any precedent as to telling the TT to come get the stuff? Surely there must be since they appraise nearly every case's pers property. I would doubt that they are sending a mover to come p/u the property, relocate it for liquidation sale. I would be inclinded to see just how badly they want the stuff. I agree with the others, it seems to be a hard-noses negotiating tactic. They seem to hold your immediate destiny in their hands, but I guess they can't eat you. GL on the outcome.

A previous poster here said that they post pictures of your stuff in an auction like website and people bid on it (like ebay). The one poster here in the Ft. Myers area said the appraisers even asked him for better pictures of the stuff! Then when the stuff was actually sold (for like 10% of the values the appraiser had on the stuff) the bidders actually came to his house to pick up the stuff.
I am an hour and a half from Ft. Myers I bet the bidders will be pissed to have to come up here for their $1.00 lamp. LOL!
Here is the poster I was talking about where he talks about the appraiser valuing his stuff at $25K and they told the trustee to sell it and they got $5000.

Just bid on your own stuff.... maybe through another party's name/acct. That should eliminate the problem and you end up with a huge discount and the stuff. Kind of back to the 1000 amount originally claimed.
It seems abusive on the part of the TT to be able to claim some large value then end up selling the property for lots less. The evidence of this over and over again would indicate that the TT's judgment in appraisal is flawed, and maybe abuse of TT's powers. It might be worth alledging that after a case was closed and property distributed. It would be interesting to see how that might turn out. It seems malicious on the part of the TT if this can be documented repreatedly. I suppose they rely on the fact that they are dealing with follks having NO $$$$$$$$$$, so they can get away with near murderous actions. grrrrrComment
