Hi, I filed chapter 7 last monday and still am getting creditor calls. Is this normal? Sent attorney e-mail but haven't heard from him yet. Does the automatic stay take a few days to kick in?? Thanks in advance...

Automatic stay is immediate, but creditors may not know immediately. By last Monday, do you mean the 1st or March or the Monday before? It would take a few days I believe for the court to mail notices and your accounts to be updated at the original creditors. And then they must notify collection agencies.
Just keep a note with your case # by the phone. For anyone that calls, inform them that you filed X chapter on X date, give your case # and atty information.Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo

Exactly. Just maintain a log and answer the phone. There's no greater pleasure than telling them your case number and attorney contact information and knowing that they can't call you anymore.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Yeah there is going to be a little bit of time in between until everyone get the notification. Like justbroke said, answer the phone and have fun with it.
