Just had my 341 this week
I live in the northeast and just had my 341 earlier this week for my Chapter 7 no-asset case. It lasted approximately 60 to 90 seconds. He flipped through my petition at a rate of about 2 pages per second and asked me 8 to 10 questions. All except the "name and address" question and one other required only "yes sir" and "no sir" responses. I was the second person to get called and the first person took about the same length of time. My attorney told me they schedule 8 meetings per 30 minutes, so if you do the math, they're meant to be quick. I got there a half hour early and the batch that went before me was all done within about 15 minutes. I suppose this could vary by state, but this was my experience.
As my attorney advised me, stick to "yes sir" and "no sir" responses, DO NOT run off at the mouth and do not try to explain things unless you are asked to explain. If you can do this and have nothing to hide to begin with, then you should sail through.
