My wife and I were wondering if we would be able to put money into a ROTH IRA or similar fund for our 13 week old daughter. We have some extra money (about 3500) in her checking and was wondering if there is a time frame that wouldnt send up red flags. We had been putting that away to start a college fund and didn't know if we went that route if it would affect our filing. Thanks in advance

What does your state exemptions say about a timeframe?

I am almost sure that roth IRA are protected, but I couldnt find any information as far as "It must be invested within a XXXX month time frame before filing" I am in AZ
