Pre-Filing Question

As I stated in a different thread, we're going to be filing within 60-90 days, depending on the outcome of a Cavalry Portfolio svcs suit. (I hope they go away knowing I am filing.)

Since we have NOT yet filed, and are in a spend-down situation, how much scrutiny do we face until the day we file? We need to clear out around $4-5k.

Make sure you spend that $$ on necessary, reasonable expenses. Repair to the home? Vehicle repair? Medical visits? Prescriptions? Anything that is considered necessary living expenses. Make sure you keep receipts just to cover your a$$ets.

It would not be wise to take a trip to Vegas with that money to spend it down.
