Can you add a cell phone bill in after filling?

I filed on Dec, 24th 2009 for chap7. I just cancelled my cell phone contract and got hit with a large early termination charge of $600.00. Can I put that bill in my case? The last day for objection is May 7th

I don't think so, you terminated after your filing date. I feel your pain.

Since you got hit with the cancellation fee after you filed, this is called post-petition. Your post-petition debt is new debt and cannot be included in the Bankruptcy. If you didn't like your carrier, you should always do this before you file.

For those just lurking, your bankruptcy consists of all debt before filing. (Chapter 13s are a special case and sometimes you can include post-petition debt in your Chapter 13 plan). Anything that happens after you file, is new debt and is not part of your bankruptcy.
