I purchased life insurance so I would pass the means test. Can I go ahead and cancel now or do I need to wait until my discharge? I received the report of no distribution from the trustee already and the last day for creditors to object is in a couple of weeks. Thanks.

As for the OP: I would wait until discharge. Just my opinion...May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs
May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
9/11/09 - DISCHARGED!!!!

I am in a similar position, but not with the means test (i pass that with flying colors). One attorney said that buying health insurance would 'improve my position' with the review of my expenses (which are otherwise very low). Well, I need health insurance, so thought that would be fine, then realized that a) it's VERY expensive and b) I am down to the wire on finances and just cannot afford it. I have no idea what to do. The attorneys have my information and everything is under review. I am hoping they will tell me not to worry about it, because I have no idea how to pay for it for even a few months if that is what I need to do. Yes, it's that bad.
