Yeah, my Schedule B had things like bank accounts with $2, $2, $8, $14 in them, and a $20 harmonica! Somehow I suspect I'd have gotten to keep them even if I'd not exempted them.

You most definately qualify for Earned Income Credit which is exempted from the estate. You should be fine.

I would recommend some tax software or a tax pro for some help in preparing your return, the IRS is feeling kind of charitable for families in your situation. They increased a bunch of refundable credits...
