    Discharged!! One last question?

Anywhere from 1 day to years.

In most cases if you were a no asset your case will be administratively closed, usually within a few days. Depends on district really.

Mine was closed about a week after discharge.

      CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Here you go:

Now what is this 'last question' bit? Please stay around and help others with YOUR insight and experience.

We closed a year and almost two months AFTER our discharge. We were an Asset case. Everything depends on your individual circumstance and your district and trustee.

It my understanding that closing a case has no real significance. You have already been discharged which means everything. Closing a case is merely wrapping up the paperwork and nothing can change since it was already discharged.

I just got a letter today, looks like my case was closed but I still don't have a discharged. Reason listed was my Certificate of Financial Management class was missing, I'll have to call the lawyer Monday morning.
