I recieved my statement in the mail today, they added $400 to the princapal on the account, for collection expenses. Thing is my account was and is current. There have been no collection expenses and no one has ever called trying to collect on a account that is current.
So I call them, after a nice 30 minute wait on hold I am told to call another department, so I do, after 10 minutes on hold I get to talk to a drone who informs me that yes, you are current and allways have been.
But since you filed bankruptcy we are adding $400 to your account for collection fees, that we never had to contact you about, and will also be adding attorney fees and filing fees, yet to be determined.
I explained that I am keeping the house, asked for a reaffirmation, your company agreed and said everything was fine, now you hit me for $400 plus fees yet to be determined, all added to my princapal,
WTF?
I could understand if I was behind in the payments, but to screw someone who is current, wants to stay current and stay in the house, is just wrong, plain and simple.
Hey First Horizon, I hope you choke on it.
I have emailed my attorney about this, hopefuly I will have some recourse, they just set me back 5 months in princapal payments and more is to come..
I hate banks, really really hate banks anymore...
