mortgage company and relief from stay

We have our 341 tomorrow, we got a letter a wk or so ago that our mortgage company is requesting a relief from stay. The hearing is scheduled for the beginning of March. We are giving the house up so we are not fighting it. My question is I guess if they are already filing for the relief how long do you think it will be before we have to be out? We are in the middle district of PA. There are absolutely no rental homes in the school district we need right now I guess because not a lot of people choose to move in winter. I'm hoping more places become available when the weather gets better but now I don't know if we'll have that long. Thanks.

You have at least 6 months, probably longer if the lender hasn't filed the foreclosure suit yet.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

Thank you!!!!!! Finding a rental in our school district is not easy and since one of my daughters will be a Senior in high school next year I really don't want to leave the district. This will give us some time.

Don't forget to check Craigslist for your area!

I watch craigslist daily and nothing. I am starting to really freak out. I'm hoping spring brings more prospects. We have 4 kids so that makes it harder too. Because of the spacing of our kids ages I'm needing 4 bedrooms or 3 with a den, office, or some other space I can use as a 4th bedroom. Not too many of them around.

I would post a Wanted ad in the housing section. How big an area are you in?

We are in a 80k city and yesterday I needed to borrow a large dog kennel for a month. Within two hours I have 4 offers of a kennel to borrow.

Just to give you an idea of how people look on the lists and respond.

I think that's what I'm going to do and see if I get any takers. The area we are looking is pretty big but it's mostly owners not a lot of rental properties available, they don't even have any town home communities in the area. The kids are spaced 1yo, 4yo, 7yo, and 16yo. The 2 middle share a room but it won't work for the other 2 to share. I thought of putting the 1yo in with the other 2 but she still wakes up at night and the 7yo has school and needs sleep. We are looking for a long term rental and were never late on our mortgage till we decided to give up the home then we stopped paying all together. We even have some money that we could pay a few months in advance to account for our credit so hopefully someone will be interested. I'm going to go write up an ad now.

Many families figure out how to cram more people into smaller homes. It can be done. One solution is to forgo a traditional bedroom for the adults and divvy that space up for the kids. A sleeper sofa adds plenty of sleeping space.

If you're lucky, that 16 year old will be gone in a couple of years as well!

Ya we'll do what we have to do although I'm hoping to not have people sleeping in living rooms. Having a teenager we like to have her friends over rather than her out doing who knows what and having your parents sleeping in the living room is a little awkward. We will make do with whatever if need be though.
