[HELP] How to dispute the BK information on Cosigner's Credit Report

I have two student loans and one of the banks has mortgage which will be discharged with ch7 in March.

The problem is that per attorney's advice I didn't include the student loans in the BK. All student loans are current but the bank which also has mortgage included the student loan in BK.

Since I filed BK, it has been shown in my cosigner's credit report.

Can my cosigner dispute this on his/her credit report?

I really don't want to hurt my cosigner's credit so I have paid the student loans on time always!

Are there anyone who has a similar case? I really don't know why the bank is including the student loan in BK which won't be discharged forever!

Any advice or suggesion would be highly appreciated.

Some banks are stupid. I think the bk info can be disputed through three Credit Bureaus. SL will not be discharged so it should be shown as normal as like a reaffirmed loan.

Yes, dispute it. Your co-signer needs to send a dispute to both the CRA and the creditor. If it is not corrected, then the co-signer needs to sue and collect for damages. There is no valid excuse for the creditor to report iib on a co-signers CR.

Your cosigner can dispute it on his/her credit report. Since the consigner did not file for bankruptcy and the loans are not being discharged, that item is reporting incorrectly on the consigner's report.
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under

          Thanks for all your responses!
I could contact the bank with confidence. They recommended to dispute it through three CBs, then the special department will fix the credit report issue.

When my cosigner called me last week, I was very concerned but I am feeling much better.

Thanks for all your great info & advice.
