Objection Due has been changed. Am I OK now?

    I am in Northern California.

I was checking PACER and found this interesting document which I didn't read carefully before.

When I filed BK 7 (No asset, No distribution) in November last year, the final date for the objection was set as early March, 2010.

However, after the 341 meeting the trustee filed a document saying that the objection due date will be February 1st, 2010. (About one month earlier than the original objection date.)

    Wow! I didn't take a look closely....Is this normal?

If I am understanding correctly, I don't have to worry about any objections anymore, right?

It's a Big Surprise to me to find out this document today!!!

Any similar experience in Northern California or other disctricts?

I'm not an expert or anything.... but is the trustee talking about objections to your expemptions? I believe that is usually 30 days from the 341. Objections to your discharge is always 60 days....at least thats what I've been told. Hopefully, one of the BK Guru's will tackle this question and confirm what I said.
    Filed BK7 on 1/16/10:
    341 on 3/16/10 (No Asset)
    Discharged 5/17/10 (Fresh Start)

There are actually two due dates for "objections". The first is usually 30-45 days from your 341 hearing. This date is for objections to the trustee's administration of your estate. These objections relate to how the trustee handled your assets. If someone believed that you were hiding something, or that the trustee did not perform a complete investigation of your financial affairs, they might file this kind of objection.

The other date is for objections to your discharge, which is 60 days from your 341 meeting. This time period is the one in which your creditors can object to your discharge in general, or to the discharge of a specific debt.

So, both are valid dates. Your discharge will be after the 60 days.
