New to forum, a couple questions

Hello, great site! Unfortunately i'll have to file BK soon and had a couple questions if you don't mind.

    1) I have not filed taxes in a couple years, will my taxes have to be current
    before filling BK?

    2) I have mortgages on four houses, two in state of Mass. two out of state in maine. If I file chapter 7 in mass. can I add the Maine mortgages in BK.

    3) How much did you pay for your attorneys? Should I do this without an attorney if relatively easy.

Just my 2 cents, but I do believe you must have your taxes returns current. Since bankruptcy is a federal issue I believe you can include anything from anywhere. Attorneys for BK can cost anywhere from 1 to 2k depending. I would not personally advise doing it yourself. Get 3 free interviews from attorneys and pick which one you think is best. Welcome to the forum!

Thank you, I'm on step one.

Can I add realestate taxes to the BK, or does the mortgage company handle that?

Real estate taxes stay with the house, not the person.
