Sounds like from your posts your using a legal service provided by work or something? Is that the reason for the hard nose stance? Nothing beats a good attorny with your intrest at heart. Worth every penny IMO

It is a legal plan that I receive from work. I pay into every month like I do my health insurance. I understand that an attorney is worth every penny that you pay them like you said you your reply. However, considering that I am filing for BK I don't have the extra $$$$$ to get an attorney without using my legal plan. I've been paying into the plan for the last five years and this is the first time I've used it.

The attorney backed down and is amending my paperwork at no charge.

I think she realized that she was kind of harsh and backed down from her initial reply. She is now amending my stuff at no charge and said it would be done in the next few days.

That is great, considering that amending paperwork is something that is customary in bankruptcy cases and should be covered in your initial contract. It is true that there should be no errors in the paperwork from the get-go, but people, clients and attorneys are human and mistakes occur. The only extra fee should be the $26.00 court filing fee.

          Good luck to you!
