Has anyone heard of a company by the name of Digital Risk based out of Maitland, FL? This comany has contacted my hubby's employer for VOE as well as wants income for the last three years. Our Ch7 was discharged in Jan 09' and we have just decided to walk away from our condo. I called the mortgage companies who stated that they do not use outside companies for any type of verifications or collections. So I am wondering if anyone has had experience with this company, Digital Risk, as I am fearful that we could become a victim of fraud.

On a side note...does anyone know if the banks will contact the employer durning foreclosure? The mortgage was IUB and not reaffirmed but I just don't want them calling our jobs as our employers have no idea of our BK.

Maybe you could get a copy of the VOE and call them to find out why they're calling?

As far as I know Digital Risk would have to have your written permission to as for a VOE. As you obviously don't know who they are, or why they want this, I would do as BKDefender suggested. Give them a call and ask why the heck they contacted your employer for a VOE without your permission.

Edited: Just realized they contacted your husbands employer for this. Have your husband give them a call.
