Our foreclosure sale date on our house is 02/17/10 and we are filing CH 7 on 02/12/10. I figure that the mortgagee (Wells Fargo) will put in a motion to lift the automatic stay. Once that happens does Wells Fargo have to go through a whole new foreclosure process? Or will they just be able to set a new sale date and proceed since it had already gotten that far?
I am really freaking out because we were under the wrong assumption that we had a 75 day redemption period after the sale and have just found out that the law has changed and there is no longer a redemption period. Any info will help!!
