I filed chp 7 August 2009. Attorney says the trustee can take my tax refund up to $750. Is this taxes for last year or can they take my refund I get this year? I was just discharged in December....I really could use my refund if I get one. How does this work?

From what you wrote, the trustee wants up to $750 of your 2009 refund. The way it would work is that you would file your taxes, get your refund, and then pay the trustee a certain percentage of it.
