I will owe $1K in federal taxes and auto registration fees in April. Can I list those on Schedule J as an expense? If so, do you divide by 12 to get the monthly? The taxes are around $800 and the DMV fees will be around $250. Thanks. Oh, I will probably file the BK end of March or early April.

Our tax liability was listed on our Schedule J, but the auto registration was included in the deduction for auto expenses and not listed separately. And yes, on a per monthly basis, not a line item for a once a year payment.Filed Chapter 13 02/2006 - Confirmed 05/2006 - Discharged 09/2011

I believe schedule I should reflect your actual tax liability. That would mean the $1k in federal taxes should already be factored in. I would think listing the $1k on schedule J would result in the taxes being listed twice.
We pay in a few hundred dollars every year after filing and we didn't list that on schedule J.Stopped Payings CC's: 8/14/2009 | Retained Attorney: 9/23/2009 | Filed CH 7: 12/7/2009 | 341 Meeting: 1/21/2010 - Complete | Discharged: 4/9/2010
