    Update after our discharge!

So, things are getting easier. We had to mail out copies of the BK to our two mortgage holders, WF and BOA. We sent this certified with a signed receipt. Yesterday we got a letter from a lawyers office on the GA rental. They are going to auction it. I assume the letter at the post office is about the same thing, but I will pick it up on Sat. when I am off work. Today we got a letter for the house we are living in. We had hoped to stay here for a while until we move back out west to be closer to family. But the letter says the foreclosure sale date is the 12 of March. I assume that means we need to have a place and be out of here by then? Do they auction the place here, or at the court house? Or do we stay until it is auctioned and HOPE we can find a rental afterward? Is that when the 20 days starts in MO??? Anyone know?

Hubby found a job, it pays little but it has a salary with commission. So, he is hopeful and feels he can earn more. Much better for his depression that is for sure. But he goes in at 8:30 and leaves at 6PM and works until 1PM on Sat. Pretty sad hours for 20,000 per year I think... but with a BK and our age jobs are not easy to find. And, he doesn't have to stand all day, or walk and burn gas all day TRYING to sell insurance. I hope he does well!

We are out from under our debt, crossing our fingers that our health does not get worse until we can get to a state that has HMO's.. The PPO's are eating us alive with the unexpected. We are paying for his Meds so that is good! And saving some for a move, for savings, and for a deposit. We are concerned about renting again it has been ages! Espeically since we will be leaving asap to go out west. Will they give us our deposit back before we leave?? Who knows, the future still looks pretty bleak.

And I am still being my nasty self..lol This board has been great, I visit almost everyday, but I do not post a lot because I do not know enough about BK's to be helpful.. But I am here still supporting everyone that has fallen victim to the economy or the unaffordable healthcare we have, or both. Good luck to you all....

"MO" I feel for you of course as with many. However, seems you have it together and have a plan. Your house will not be sold on site but at the Courthouse. Just "squat' as long as possible. If you have to, rent a no-tell-mo-tel, for weekly rate till your move.

Seems that you have it pretty well together. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Thanks.. we have a plan at least. If there is one thing I have learned from all of this is to have a back up plan for ourselves instead of worrying about our credit score and paying our bills. They don't care one little bit about us that is for sure. I guess why I feel this way is at 59 I have always paid my bills, always been careful to have insurance and not over spend. When you get into trouble all they care about is taking everything you have even if you give them all your retirement savings when a disaster hits. no one works with you, no one gives you a job when your desperate. The hostiltiy in America is horrible anymore.
