    Closing chapter 7

Our chapter 7 has been 100 days since discharge. How long can I expect it to stay open? Is there a time limit? We have a chapter 7 with no assets.

Pardon me while i but in with another question, but what concern is it weather or not the case is closed or not as long as your discharged? Just curious.
    Thanks

That is the finalization. Without the case being closed it is not over!

I know what you mean we have been discharged a long time ago and now we are just waiting on the Trustee to pay all the creditors. I wish it would just close so that I can have some closure.

after discharge on a "no asset case" it should close after a few days being discharged from what I read here. On an asset case, until all creditors got paid and money distributed it will stay open. I think freeinohio must call the clerk and ask. You have been discharged. If JustBroke and HHM and AngelinaCat will answer, take their advice, I will trust them twice a day 3 times on sundays over a regular atty.

Thanks for the idea of calling the clerk. I did and it was closed a couple of hours later. They offered no reason why it took so long. Thanks again.
