No Report Yet, 341 Continued, Other Question

I'm kind of freaking out because the trustee has not yet filed a report of no distribution. Our 341 was in December. However, it has been continued, twice, due to the trustee requesting a vehicle title. We cleared up the vehicle title issue via e-mail with the trustee (we filed pro se). We have an e-mail from the trustee saying that we are excused from the continued 341 (scheduled for next week) and that the meeting will be closed.

The trustee has filed nothing with the court since this e-mail conversation took place. I have no documentation showing that we are excused from the 341 next week, other than the e-mail from the trustee. I'm not sure if we should show up (it is a long drive and we'd both have to take vacation days from work), bother the trustee with another e-mail or phone call, or just not show.

Also, any idea why the report of no distribution has not been filed yet? We were advised at our first 341 that we would receive our discharge in "a couple of months". Pacer status says "awaiting discharge". The only thing we have yet to do is file a reaffirmation agreement on a vehicle. I'm not sure why this would hold things up though, since it is optional.

    Thanks.

My 341 was 11/4/09. I was a no asset case and I didn't receive my Report of No Distribution until 12/18. My auto reaffirmation was filed on 12/30 and I was discharged on 1/4/10. Obviously, the reaffirmation didn't delay my Report of No Distribution. Like you, I was uncomfortable with the seemingly delayed Report of No Distribution. I suspect my trustee was a busy gent (it took him nearly a week to file his Initial Report following my 341).
