So my parents have seen me go through the BK process and have been very understanding. However, I have a car loan that I did a ride through on and the payment is a little hefty for me now since Im still job hunting. I decided it was best to just call the bank and let them come get it. The car is 11 years old (owe $16,000 on it) and is starting to have small issues. Well, I told my dad I found a really nice car for $5,000. I was shocked when he said he would buy it for me! I can't believe how it's going to be without any debt! Literally, none! Will this pose a problem since I was just discharged and he is buying me an asset? This year is starting out great even though I'm still unemployed.
