trying not to freak out about pay stubs - ack!

My husband works a part-time job at a local sports store making minimum wage, and we don't appear to have all of his pay stubs for the last 60 days. I can print our bank statements showing the deposit of his check every time he got paid, but I don't think that will work, right, because they're looking for deductions and that in addition to the actual pay amount?

I plan to call HR and ask for copies of paystubs - has anyone done this? Is there any reason *why* paystub copies are unacceptable? Please, tell me this will work. I know paystubs are a huge deal and I will if we can't use copies.
    1/22/10 - filed Chapter 7 pro se
    3/2/10 - 341 meeting
5/6/10 - discharged and case closed

We used print out copies from the employer website. Unless someone has planned out their BK for 7 months or more, original paystubs would be hard for anyone. The HR department should be able to get you copies of old paystubs. I know I have read that someone else on this forum needed to get copies from the HR department.

Every lawyer I`ve ever talked to was very specific about wanting only copies and not originals, of anything. I would double check, if I were you.

This happens all the time. I had to get copies of my pay stubs several times from HR--as out attorney kept dragging the process out. That was for my FT job. Then 'Hub had to have copies of any payments for his consulting work. And I had to have copies of the pay stubs from my PT job. The only things I could NOT get was copies of my Unemployment checks, because of Direct Deposit. The attorney had to take the information from our CU statements. She didn't like it, but she had to 'lump' it.

          Good luck to you!

I was able to use copies for my chapter 7. If fact they were rather crude copies as I was having problems with the copiers auto feed picking up the originals. Never the less, my lawyer nor the trustee had a problem with the end result.
