    Reafirmation of my mortgage

    I am currently 65 days passed my 341 Hearing.

    I get regular calls from my 1st Mortgage Financial Institution(Citi).

    I know I can reaffirm my mortgage, but on what kind of terms?

    We had the house appraised at 72k and we owe 205 on the first and 50k on the second. . . .

    Is this a lost cause?

    I have not spoken to them yet at all. At first I was just wanted to see the house go. But, now with my situation it would be nice to keep it. But, no way at the cost it's at now.

    I think you reaffirm at the original terms, but I wouldn't reaffirm a mortgage that is so far upside down. Why can't you just do a ride through?

      I can. . . . And that is still my plan. But, it would be nice to reaffirm on normal terms, closer to what my house is worth.

      I thought that would be a joke, that's why I never called my financial institution.

        Can't hurt to ask!! If they get the house they would be lucky to get what it is worth!!
