Where to get account number?

Folks,

I have an account that is listed as HSBC/CompUsa on my credit report. I have no paperwork of such an account, and the account number in the credit report is, of course, not complete. The contact information in the credit report includes only a POBox, not a phone number. Do I have any choice but to send them a paper mail and wait for a response?

I have a lawsuit that I have to deal with sooner than it would take to get a response via paper mail. I could do other stalling techniques on the lawsuit (eg, it says the debt was incurred while I was married, which I was not), but I'd prefer to just get the BK filed before then.

Any recommendations?

Same thing kinda happened to me.

Three weeks ago after choosing the lawyer I was going to go with I got a report form annualcreditreport, and it showed two accounts with fifth third/MasterCard. Last week when i went to pay my first payment to my lawyer his assistant printed out another report and it showed four accounts with fifth third, and the two added both end in the same last four numbers.

One of them have the same amount charged on it as one of the ones i do have, and the other mystery account had about $100 more than my other account.
