    Reaffirmation Question

I have my 341 scheduled for January 20. Originally I intended to reaffirm both cars (mine and my wife's) and the house because without all three our DMI would have been too high even though the house is underwater. I have just learned that my company plans to cut wages again and with my wife already out of work that would be another blow. My question is can I state my intention to reaffirm the house and then not sign the agreement. I have read a little on riding through I'm just a little freaked right now, between not wanting any government issues (fraud) and trying to do what best for my family.

You have until your discharge date or 60 days after the reaffirmation is executed to rescind, whichever gives you more time. I would push off the reaffirmations until shortly before your discharge date to give yourself a bigger window to see how things go.

In all respects, be honest with whatever your plans are. Discuss them with your lawyer but hide no thing.

You will do well unless you attempt any kind of manipulation, legal or not.

      Best to you. 'Hub
