    Is this considered fraud????

    Hi everyone,
I haven't used ANY of my credit cards in almost a year and a half and I stopped paying on them earlier 2008. I plan on filing this year and have a question that might delay it. I recently got some money from financial aid for my schooling and used about 500.00 of it to pay some bills for my mom who is currently having some financial issues. I paid her cell phone bill, electric, cable etc. Would this be seen as fraud since I used money in my checking to pay some of my moms expenses but none of my creditors? I didn't even think about it until after I did it and of course now I am freaking out. Thank you for any help!

I don't see any element of fraud in what you wrote. Who says your creditors get first dibs on your money? Fraud would be if you knew you couldn't or wouldn't be paying your credit card bills and continued to use them.

I don't think you should worry.
