I have a Visa card that has my auto insurer's logo on it. The account is handled by BofA, so it's a BofA card, regardless of the company logo. There must be a partnershp agreement of some kind between BofA and the auto insurance company.
I have stopped paying on that Visa card (and others) and plan to file for Ch. 7.
Will my insurer cancel my auto policy?
Will they raise my premiums?
Will I go on as before with the same auto insurance?
I am assuming the auto insurance company is a separate legal entity from the financial entity who issued the card. And the auto insurer is not a creditor and won't be listed on any BK documents. But the fact remains that that credit card will be listed in the BK.
No one has said a thing when I have called in with other questions about the auto policy. I was notified the account was closed last week sometime. I had missed two payments at the time (and am now behind on three).
