Hi everyone I'm a authorized user on my mothers Sears/Mastercard and will by fileing friday 1-8-10. It is on my credit report so my attorney has it on my schedule f. In doing some research on here I've found that it should not be filed on since I'm only a authorized user. Shouldn't this be taken of my schedule f before I file since this is not my debt? Thanks

Depends on how the account was established. Most authorized users are considered by the banks as joint owners. Call Sears (I believe CITI does their finances) and ask to have a copy of the account agreement. The credit report should state "Individual or Joint."Filed Ch7 5/28/09 (Pro Se) Orlando, 341 7/01, UST selected case for audit 7/01, Last day for objection 8/31. Audit report filed 9/10, no material misstatements. Discharged and closed 9/22/2009

You paid your attorney for his/her advice. So if they recommend you include this debt, that is what you should do.
IMHO if you are authorized signer only, they have no right to be on your credit report to begin with and I would dispute that with the credit reporting agencies.
I wish you the best.8-07-09-filed Chapter 7

The Credit reporting agencies will remove it, if you dispute it for that very reason.8-07-09-filed Chapter 7

Unfortunately you are incorrect about being able to report it. They are reporting factual information that you are an authorized user; however they can not collect it from you as you are not liable for the debt if you are only an authorized user. There is a lot of information available on the web on this.

Oh this is a relief for me to read. We are getting ready to file but in bed last night as I couldn't sleep and was reading some bk books I realized my name is on a Sams club card for my daughter's preschool as that is my 'job' is to buy supplies for the school and I have been really stressed about about that card being affected by this as it's also a credit card and I have my own card and can sign for things when I charge them. The bills go to the preschool and I should only be an authorized user on the account.

Sorry to disagree, but I have lived this situation, fought and won only about 3 years ago.
My ex boyfriend put me as a authorized user on his credit cards. I never charged a single thing on any of his accounts. When we split up, I did a credit report on myself and that is how I found out I was a authorized user (not before). I disputed and all were removed from my credit report.
His bad credit was not allowed to factor into my credit profile and had no bearing on my credit worthiness.8-07-09-filed Chapter 7
