Can creditor report on credit I'm past due after filing?

I filed in OCT my car was paid up until 11/1. I am surrendering the car, at some point... But today the credit union listed the account as 60 days passed due. Can they do that? Can't they just list is as included in bankrupcty like everyone else did? I was never late on anything therefore even after filing my credit score with TU and EQ is 650+, but experian which shows the car loan late is now a 605 (it was 660+ last week). I sent an email to my attorney also. This pisses me off. If they would just change the balance to zero and list it as bk it would take less points off dammit!

Dispute this with the credit agency in writing stating the car was surrendered in Ch 7. Wait 30 days to see if the loan line changes to IIB. If it doesn't or the credit agency reports back that the CU confirms the coding, then you'll have to move up the ladder and send a certified, return receipt letter to the CU disputing the coding. Good luck!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
