Thanks cat, sometimes it seems people on here are from different sides of the planet, but we all wish each other the best. We agree more than we know, and I hope everyone on here does better than I do.. thats just me.

Oh, interesting to note, not all of our credit cards were closed. We are not sure how many are not effected, but Macy's was one that we still have. I thought that was interesting I guess I thought everyone would jump ship over a BK. We want to rebuild our credit so we can get one card to use to travel to see family out west, or move (I hope)... So, we used the macy's card and I will pay it off over a couple months. We are buying only what we need on SALE... easy right now the sale part. So it was undies and a small gift for a neighbors birthday. Once we get some credit we can get the major card to use, and then dump the macy's card. I do not want to use credit again. While it is not what got us into trouble, it was medical, layoffs and the housing market, still, I never used my cards a lot in the past because of the interest rate. So, going forward I still don't want to use it.

I too still have macys I just used it last week. My TD Bank Visa, Bloomingdales Visa, and Home Depot card are all still open and valid. I assume my home depot card will go as it's backed by citi who I discharged. They were quick to close my radio shack and exxon but so far they missed the home depot.

And for those waiting to make a comment about using a cc. Macys gave me 15% off and I paid it off already...
