    Case closed and discharged... BUT...

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Rebuilding my credit and life starts today on day 1...

Just an FYI for those who are curious..
    Filed in FL on 9-1-09
    341 meeting 10-8-09
    and discharged and closed 12-29-09

I got a letter in the mail for attorney's fees (not my attorney) for the foreclosure of my house (this was dated after the 60 days and the court date isn't until mid Jan...) I wonder what is up with that?!

Now, as to the foreclosure and those attorney fees, you need to talk to YOUR attorney, if you have one. This is something that he/she needs to address--or needed to before this point.

      Good luck to you!

Am I understanding this right? Is your lender's attorney or legal department charging *you* for the lender's attorney or legal department to petition the court to do the foreclosure on the home you surrendered in your Ch 7?

If the answer is yes, then contact your attorney immediately. Charging you to pay for the lender's legal work to foreclose your surrendered home is highly irregular.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Possibly a clerical error on their part, you need to take it to your attorney immediately.

Just an update.. yes it was the house's lawyers who filed to collect fees from US. At first when I called up my atty, the paralegal was about to brush it off but I said I would fax it to her anyway. A few hrs later, I called to follow-up and she said that yes they were trying to sue us (long after the 341 and time to dispute anything) so my atty was filing something to inform the judge of the case of the circumstances and that they can only go after the house, not us and sending them the don't talk to them anymore and get your facts straight threat letter.

I am resting easy now knowing it is OVER!!!!!!!!!
