Can they still call after Discharge?

    #2
No, they can't try and collect from you.
Inform them the mortgages were included in your bankruptcy and to refrain from contacting you about the matter again. If they persist, call your bk lawyer.

As keepmine wrote, inform them that they are in violation of the Discharge Injunction and Permanent Stay against collection activity as the mortgage as included in bankruptcy. Let them understand if they continue to collect or threaten action, you will have no choice but to re-open your Bankruptcy Case and enter an Order to Show Cause, making them appear before the United States Bankruptcy Judge and telling him why they keep harassing you. Then, they'll face monetary sanctions.

WOW...thank you for the input. I did not think they could do this. I will update if they continue to call. As bad as our situation is, it feels kinda good to be in the drives seat now. I wish it were under different circumstances but I know we will get back onto two feet soon.

        Thanks again!!
