Yesterday was the last day to file a proof of claim on my chapter 7 BK. Well lo and behold this morning I get a notice from Pacer that one has been filed. It was filed by Apple Credit (attorney on their behalf) for an unsecured credit card in the amount of $1790.00. I already had my 341 hearing and my case is a no asset case. Why would they file a proof of claim? I was under the impression that most creditors only did that when it was an asset case. I just don't understand what they want from me? I haven't been able to pay them for over a year the original debt was only $750 so that should tell you something! This is so stressful Anybody else have similar experiences?

A claim in a "no asset" case has about as much usefulness as a three-legged cat.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
