When the attorney files your paperwork, do you have to be there too, or are you only suppose to attend the 341 meeting?

Most offices have an e-file process. It's done online.

I saw my/an attorney 3 times, one for the free consult. Once for the paperwork signing in his office(which gave an instant BK case number). 3rd time at the 341 hearing( it was his partner) That was it.
