Petition finally arrived .... none of figures are correct

It's been a while since my last posting so here goes!!

For those who might remember, my husband had seen the a lawyer back in, I think, July. Then, he was working, now he's retired with a part-time job. You may also recal that I was having problems trying to figure out where his salary etc etc was actually going. That really hasn't altered very much. I'm still trying to work it out.

Financially, , he's about $100 less than when he was working full time. But this really counteracts everythig as he hasn't been paying his debts for the last few months.

Anyway, on top of everything else, for weeks and weeks Id been telling him to contact his lawyer as up until last week he still hadn't received any papers/or packet. He called them and was told that they're received his "envelope" but there weren't any papers inside it!! Then, today, out of the blue, a packet of papers arrived. (Must be about 50 odd sheets in there).

They've obviously mixed up his file with someone elses because there's information in there that doesn't match up i.e that he's paying for a student loan and a car financed for a daughter (which he doesn't have). There's also a property address listed with value of 169,000 that apparently was repossessed/foreclosed on - again wrong.

Schedule B under Security Deposits states that he paid 150.00 with public utilities .... I know nothing of this ....

They also have his monthly salary down as 581.74 (wrong again ... at that stage it was 2,400) ... Their combined income is 1,981. At that stage it was around 3,800 per month. How on earth can a lawyer make SO MANY mistakes!!!

I'm not filing and I can see that I have to provide my income - however, surely I'd have to give my outgoings too?? Do I also have to give copies of statements etc etc etc??? Im assuming I'd have to ...

As far as him keeping copy receipts etc etc ... I've repeatedly asked him to do this but what's going to happen if he can't?? (I just dont think he's going to be able to provide all the info they want).

This whole mess should have been over and done with by now .. and it's only just starting ... (just ranting here).

So why are you and your husband not going over the paperwork together? If I was you I would also have wanted to meet with the attorney with my husband.

      Read the history.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
