    Michigan filer

Well, I signed my paperwork tonight and it will be filed tomorrow. It's an odd feeling for sure. The attorney says I am a simple no asset 7. I sure hope so! I'm in Michigan and will be having my 341 in Lansing. Anyone else have theirs in Lansing?

    Should I be relaxing now?

Yup.. Had mine in Lansing closed in March 09. You are in the Western District if you are filing in Lansing. Just make sure you pull all of your credit reports to make sure you have listed all of your creditors. Get copies of ssn card, 2 years oftaxes etc. to be safe. You are allowed one credit report for free each year. I would try to get copies of any CC statements before you file in case something happens
(probably wont). Once you file they will lock you out of all of your accounts.

Thanks, I've done all of that, paperwork was done by the attorney and we reviewed it and signed last night. I'm getting my case # today and then taking the rest of my credit counseling class. Then just waiting and hoping .

When you get your case #, I would also double-check the filing date with your attorney. That's a pretty important date to know in case you have any "situations". But if you're a simple no asset 7, I don't think you will...
          Filed CH7 on Aug-06-2009 -- DONE!
          341 meeting on Oct-01-2009 -- DONE!
          Discharged on Nov-12-2009 -- DONE!
Case Closed on Jun-15-2010 -- DONE!

Welcome to the forum. Read the stickie notes to gain more knowledge. It is loaded with most everything you are wondering about. I didn't do that when I started. And, read the do's and don't of threads and posting. I made a mistake and posted in an outdated post which is a no-no. It's funny too, because you make friends without knowing much about them or seeing their faces which is actually fun. Good luck with your case. Lots of smart legal eagles here to boost you along. I am a Newbie still but have learned much. Mostly to learn patience and not freak out because Pacer didn't post docs within the timelines. All cases are different I have learned. As goes for districts, trustees, and UST's, and states. If you think you are getting too worked up, I am a listening ear for ya. I have been there for sure. Welcome, Michigander!!
