how do you know if you have been discharged

is there a website? can you call somewhere - other that your attorney?
i assume they notify you by mail?

You get a letter signed by the bk judge appointed to your case.
The verbiage may vary by district but, it'll say something to the affect that all debts eligible for discharge have been discharged.

You can also find this info in PACER. You'll always see something at least a few days before you'll get it in the mail.
