    Question

I have to take my son to the doctor today. It is possible that he has a broken ankle. I am planning on filing for Chapter 7 in either January or February. My attorney told me not to incur anymore debt.

Well, I have lousy insurance. If it is broken, it's probably going to cost me a lot as I have a deductible and co-insurance, even if it is in network (which it will be). Will I be able to include this in the bankruptcy even though it happened after I retained an attorney?

On the bright side, I don't have any time off left so I will have to take today, the 24th and the 31st off without pay. That will lower my 6 month look back even more. Too bad I have necessary bills due.

Your lawyer is talking about cc charges.
Unplanned medical debt isn't a luxury item. It'll create no isues in your bk.
