Congratulations frogger! Sounds like we are in very similar boats. We're discharging $1.5 million in secured debt, and but only $30,000 in unsecured debt.

We're sad that we're now left with nothing after 8 years "investing". But it does feel good to finally get rid of "investments" that were eating us alive. I'm glad to walk away from the greed of business!

I provided him 3000+ pages of documents.

My attorney was like:

No big deal. We can get this done for you. Just a lot of paperwork, but that's all part of the game. We do it all the time. Don't worry.

Congrats Frogger! So why didn't you file Pro Se you already did most of the work (3,000 pages)? Just kidding.... with that amount of debt I would want an expert to do it and make sure it was done correctly, too! Will look forward to hearing about your new freedom from debt.

Yup. He said "no problem". When I brought him notebook after notebook of indexed documents, along with table of contents, he just smiled.

Thanks to the info learned from the good people here, I knew what to expect, what information to gather up, and what to do and not to do before filing.

I know that I'm going to come out bruised, because I am an asset case, but I'll take that any day over the life I've living the past few years.

The stress is already gone, and I'm getting ready to start a new life.
